Green Conservation Consulting is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Shayne and Lindsay Green. We both come from fourth generation Humboldt County families and have deep roots on the North Coast. Our Natural Resources consultancy has a combined five decades of experience in the fields of conservation, restoration, research, planning, and forest management. We have a proven capacity to advance projects in a manner centered on client priorities and objectives.
Our work has spanned a variety of partnerships and roles in conservation easement, fee-title acquisition, carbon, restoration, and fire resilience projects. Currently, we act primarily as lead consultant representing private landowners in various kinds of conservation projects and transactions. Historically we have also acted as staff or lead consultants representing land trusts and other similar organizations.
Shayne has over 30 years of experience in the development, funding and management of varied planning, forestry, conservation and restoration projects. He collaborates with landowners, businesses, foresters, agencies, NGOs, and others in the successful implementation of projects. Shayne holds an undergraduate in Natural Resource Management and a Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Humboldt State University with a focus on plant and forest ecology.
